Blackland Farm offers a
wide range of exciting and interesting events for Guides, Scouts
and their Leaders, from camps to training weekends. Check out
information about up-and-coming events below:
Open day 2011
Sunday 24 April 2011. A chance for Leaders (and some young
people) to visit the site, have a look around, ask questions and
have a go at some of the activities.

Baden-Powell Adventures
The Baden-Powell Challenge is the ultimate award available to
Guides. After doing a range of challenging and fun activities,
the Baden-Powell Adventure is the final activity to be
completed. It gives Guides a chance to:
- try something new beyond previous experiences
- meet other Guides outside of their own unit
- celebrate completing the Baden-Powell Challenge.

Great Green Guide Getaway
A fun-packed weekend camp (sub-camps for those with or without
licences), which will include a heap of excellent activities such
as our scrap-heap challenge, building a bothy, disco, Stomps
recycled-instrument band, transitional art and much more. Download

23-24 August. Summer BP challenge.
27 August. Improvers rock climbing.
28 August. British Canoe Union (BCU) 2-star course for over
16s.
25 September. BCU 2-star course for over 16s.
1-2 and 8-9 October. GNAS archery leaders course.
9 October. Finding your way badge day with Young Navigator star
awards. For Guides.
1 and 8 October. National Navigation Award Scheme. 2-day
course for Leaders.
13 November. Out and about and Finding your way badge day
for Brownies.
26-27 November. Winter Baden-Powell Challenge.
